High school students face many unique and diverse challenges that may

impact academic achievement. Through classroom guidance lessons,

students are taught skills in character education, goal setting, decision

making, communication, and multicultural and diversity awareness. School

counselors provide individual counseling, small group counseling, referrals

to outside agencies, as well as consult with parents and teachers to ensure

that students are able to meet the challenges of adolescence and are

continuing to be successful in school. The following links provide

Nonprofit

organization which provides information on all aspects of mental health

and mental illness. The NMHA works to improve the mental health of all

Americans.

Information, documents, and resources that deal directly

with child abuse and neglect.

Created by the U.S. Department of Health and

Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, and the

Maternal and Child Health Bureau to give students, parents and educators

the latest scoop on bullying, why it happens and what you can do about it.

National Eating Disorders

Nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of eating disorders

and body dissatisfaction. This website will provide a list of referrals for

treatment and for support groups. Crockett County Schools or Crockett

County High School cannot support orendorse any of these referrals.

Suicide Awareness Voices of Education – The mission of SAVE is to educate

people about suicide prevention and to speak for suicide survivors.

educate teens on drug use and abuse.

Offers information on grieving, death, and grief support. This site also
