Crockett County School System is submitting an application for a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. The application will be available for review and comment at Friendship Elementary School May 12-15, 2008.

FES has discount coupons for Six Flags in St. Louis.These coupons are valid during May. Call 677-2178 for information. The discount coupon allows 4 people to pay only $24.99 plus tax (for each person).

    Kindergarten and 5th Grade promotion picture packages are available for preview and purchase in the school office. They will also be available on the nights of promotiion.

K - 1 Field Trip to Donnell Century Farm

(The teachers said that the students were terrific in their behavior!)

2nd and 3rd graders went on a trip to Reelfoot Lake to see the snakes and eagles. The 4th and 5th graders attended Heritage Days in Union City. Their behavior was equally terrific. We are so proud of our students.

May 15    Top 2 students with the most Accelerated Reader Points in     each 2-5 grade class will go on a Hogwild trip to Dyersburg to buy a book and eat pizza.      Reading does pay off!

May 20     6 pm   5th grade D.A.R.E. Graduation and

                          5th grade Promotion Ceremony

May 21     1/2 day of school    

                Report Cards will be given out to children.

May 21     Academic Pep Rally Deluxe will be held at 8:15 am.
